Experience “Am II Alive?” at Dutch Design Week 2025
Come visit the art installation at DDW 18 - 26 okt 2025
We are excited to announce that Emergence Delft’s art installation “Am II Alive?” will be showcased at Dutch Design Week (DDW) in Eindhoven from 18 to 26 October 2025.
This thought-provoking installation, developed by students as part of Emergence Delft’s New Media Project, invites visitors to reflect on one of science’s most profound questions: what does it mean to be alive? By blending art, design, and synthetic biology, “Am II Alive?” transforms complex research on synthetic cells into an engaging public experience.
Why Visit?
At DDW, you’ll have the chance to step inside the installation and explore:
How synthetic cells are designed to mimic life’s functions.
What opportunities they create for medicine, sustainability, and technology.
The ethical and societal questions they raise about the future of life itself.
Through artistic expression and interactive storytelling, the project aims to make cutting-edge science accessible to everyone — sparking curiosity, conversation, and reflection.
